Socrates Vasiliades has over 27 years' experience in the metals and mining industry and prior to Avima Iron Ore he traded large quantities of steel and bulk raw materials worldwide. His trading product knowledge include iron ore and metallurgical commodities. He has extensive knowledge of the bulk commodities industries combined with experience in logistics. He enjoys excellent relationships with the Governments of the Central African Nations.
Dr Matthew Randall
Mining Engineer
Dr Matthew Randall heads mine development since the early stages of the Avima project. Over the last 30 years Matthew has gained extensive experience in strategic studies, mine evaluation, operational roles and project management. He spent much of his career with Rio Tinto and has worked in their surface mining operations in both developing and developed countries across the globe. Matthew holds a BSc Hons in Mining Engineering and a PhD in Rock Mechanics.
